🚀 Tech Lead – Backend / Data / GenAI

AskRIA is an AI-powered “Founder and Investor OS” - a second brain for startup founders and investors. We’re re-inventing how companies fundraise, manage financials, and build trust with capital markets. Our platform combines Fundraising AI Agents, CFO Agents, and Operating Agents into a single system that prepares founders for capital, simulates investor due diligence, and powers data-driven decision-making.

We’re not building another dashboard. We’re building the infrastructure that lets founders compress months of fundraising into days, while giving investors clean data, deep diligence, and confidence in their decisions.

What You’ll Do

As Tech Lead, you’ll own the technical roadmap, set engineering standards, and ship the backbone of AskRIA.

Lead design, build, and deployment of scalable microservices, APIs, and data pipelines.

Build integrations with banking, accounting, and CRM systems (think Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, Salesforce).

Architect and optimize data infrastructure for reliability, security, and speed.

Work hands-on with GenAI models to power document intelligence, investor Q&A, and reasoning engines.

Collaborate closely with product/design to translate founder/investor pain points into elegant technical solutions.

Mentor engineers, set code quality standards, and scale the team over time.

Experiment, break things safely, and ship fast -you’ll have direct impact on customer traction.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years building backend or data systems, ideally in fintech SaaS.

Deep experience with Python, FastAPI/Flask/Django, async programming, REST & GraphQL.

Strong database knowledge: Postgres, SQLAlchemy, Redis, DynamoDB.

Experience with cloud deployment (AWS or GCP), Docker, Kubernetes.

Familiarity with data engineering tools (Prefect, Airflow, Kafka, etc.) is a plus.

Bonus: exposure to GenAI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines, embeddings/vector DBs).

Obsessed with clean, tested, documented code.

Startup DNA: scrappy, fast-moving, opinionated, but open to learning.

A product engineer mindset - you don’t just code, you care how it lands with the user.

Practicalities

🌍 Remote-only (Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Kenya preferred but open globally).

⏰ Flexible, but must overlap 3–6 hours daily with UTC.
