Role Description:
We are hiring for a core position on our team--one with high visibility and high ownership. We want our Software Engineer to help build and maintain data-intensive and highly performant services. On top of that, we expect you to be well-versed in our future product’s user experience and design, ensuring seamless integration between our technology and our users.
Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain high quality code both independently and collaboratively
- Taking ownership/initiative of projects and being a clear communicator – we all make mistakes, we just have to be on top of it as a team
- Design stable and performant APIs for both internal and client-facing products
- Build user-centric and intuitive features that align with business goals
- Collaborate with customers, designers, other engineers, and cofounders to implement features effectively
- Ensure the scalability and maintainability of our systems
- Be comfortable wearing many hats – no job is too small if it paves the path for long-term success.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering
- Demonstrated strong coding skills in backend languages like Golang, Node, etc.
- Demonstrated strong coding skills in frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Strong experience with building SDKs
- Knowledge of data intensive applications and good system design
- Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with a focus on best practices and maintainable architecture
- Experience with state management libraries and frontend testing frameworks
- Familiarity with modern build tools and workflows (e.g., Webpack, Vite, or Babel)
- Experience deploying and optimizing to cloud environments like GCP, Azure, or AWS
- A strong sense of design and UX principles with an eye for detail
Nice to have:
- Passionate about entertainment/e-commerce
- Experience with LLMs and prompt engineering
- Interest in mentoring junior developers and growing a team from the ground up
