About the role:
As our Senior Director of Insurance, you will develop and manage our key insurance partnerships to ensure our insurance product suite provides maximum access to our user base and supports the needs of a rapidly scaling business. You will work closely with our product, actuarial, underwriting, and sales teams to fine-tune and innovate our product and pricing solutions to make this vision a reality.

The right candidate will have an advanced understanding of the US life insurance market and products, a strong network within the industry, the ability to credibly influence insurance partners at pace, and the acuity to create value and capitalize on unrealized opportunities in the market. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice to the company’s senior leadership on product and partnership strategy
- Manage the company’s key carrier and reinsurer partnerships
- Provide two way advocacy for Ethos and partner insurance objectives including profitability, growth, compliance and operational excellence
- Proactively identify and arrange new products and partnerships to support the strategic goals of the business
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to realize new partnerships and bring new products to market
Skills & Background:
- Extensive US life insurance experience and network
- FSA preferred
- Reinsurance, Venture Capital or Life Insurance Consulting background a plus
- Self-motivated and persistent to seek answers in a fast-paced startup environment
- Deep knowledge of the US life insurance market and products
- Strong network within the life insurance industry
- Bias for action and are comfortable managing partner relationships to achieve the same
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including understanding stakeholder needs and communicating credibly and effectively to your audience

The US national base salary range for this full-time position is $178,000 - $296,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
