Othram is the world’s only laboratory purpose-built to combine genome sequencing with advanced human identification applications. The laboratory, based in The Woodlands, Texas, is also the only facility in the United States or Canada offering end-to-end, in-house processing from forensic evidence to investigative leads. Over the last three years, this technology has helped law enforcement crack hundreds of cases at the local, state, and federal level, many of which had been unsolved for decades.
The Sales Executive is a full-time position, responsible for closing sales for Othram products and services. The Sales Executive will also be responsible for developing existing clients into key accounts through an understanding of client needs.The Sales Executive will primarily pursue business to qualified leads and existing clients and will be responsible for existing and potential clients developing leads into new customers and to support the onboarding of forensic cases.
Responsibilities
- Develop existing clients and opportunities into long-term relationships
- Perform outreach to specified customer segments and territories to discuss needs and offer solutions
- Communicate internally to manage opportunities within the sales organization and management
- Present to customer/ customer base as needed
- Answer questions about Othram's services and technical capabilities
- Build trusted relationships and manage client expectations
- Manage sales cycle to close
- Meet or exceed organizational sales goals
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an external sales role
- Ability to manage multiple accounts while developing new opportunities
- Ability to understand client needs, preferred experience working with law enforcement, familiarity with DNA forensics
- Effective problem solver
- Experience in public speaking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to independently manage time and workload
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively and independently, in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing and able to travel 50% of the time
