About the job
Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Identify and target potential clients in the specialty coffee sector, including specialty cafes, artisanal coffee shops, and high-end restaurants. Furthermore, demonstrate the ability to engage with corporate offices, initiating outreach efforts to present and pitch our coffee machine models, emphasizing their features and benefits to align with the unique needs of each client.
- Product Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of our specialty coffee offerings, including origin, flavor profiles, and unique attributes. Effectively communicate the story and value proposition of each coffee to customers. Additionally, a strong grasp of coffee machine functionality is essential to provide comprehensive assistance and guidance to customers in making informed choices based on their preferences.
- Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, baristas, and influencers in the specialty coffee community. Attend industry events and network to enhance brand visibility.
- Sales Presentations: Create compelling and tailored sales presentations that highlight the distinct qualities of our specialty coffees. Conduct cupping sessions and tastings to showcase the exceptional quality of our products.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging coffee varieties, and brewing techniques. Provide insights to the sales and marketing teams to shape product development and promotional strategies.
- Custom Solutions: Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and preferences. Propose customized solutions, including exclusive blends or personalized roast profiles, to meet the specific requirements of each customer.
- Negotiation and Contracts: Skilfully negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve win-win agreements. Ensure clear communication of expectations to internal teams for seamless order fulfilment.
- Collaboration with Roasting Team: Collaborate with the roasting team to provide feedback from the market and contribute to the development of new specialty coffee offerings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Specialty Coffee: Proven success in B2B sales within the specialty coffee industry. Familiarity with different coffee varieties, processing methods, and brewing techniques.
- Passion for Quality: Genuine enthusiasm for specialty coffee and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in every aspect of the sales process.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and compelling manner.
- Industry Network: Existing relationships within the specialty coffee community are a plus. The ability to build and expand a network within the industry is essential.
- Self-Driven: Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Adaptability: Comfortable navigating the dynamic and evolving landscape of the specialty coffee market.
