At N3XUS, we are building the next generation of social networks as a decentralized value-exchange platform for communities. People can exchange information, help, support, provide services without an intermediary and get compensated through a fair token emission and DAO for the value they create to others. We are building a value-based economy (maximum value to users) instead of the attention economy (maximum value to advertisers, big corps).

N3XUS is at its inception phase and is looking for a Principal Engineer to:

• Create the architecture and build our proprietary incentive mechanism
• Help launch our token and write the Solana smart contracts for emissions
• Create the architecture for our community platform app
• Hire the engineering team

Job Overview
We are looking for a Principal Engineer to kick-start our product development and hire an all-star engineering team. You will be responsible for strategic technical decisions, developing our applications in the beginning as well as building the team. You will lead by example with coding and product development best practices.

This role has the opportunity to run the engineering department later on as CTO.

What you will be doing
● Defining Product Architecture and tech stack for our products based on your industry experience and research of cutting-edge technology.
● Build our incentive mechanism and applications across Discord (bot), and Web apps as well as a brand-new desktop, iOS and Android app for the community platform.
● Build and then support building our smart contracts on Solana for the incentive mechanism and token emissions.
● Architect elegant and maintainable code with a focus on autonomy and support for the team.
● Propose and champion improvements to the product, engineering, and process.
● Work with designers and product managers to create delightful interfaces and experiences.
● Build, then lead and mentor the engineering team at N3XUS
● Dive into the unknown alongside fellow engineers challenging themselves and people around you.
● Collaborate with other departments to understand better the needs of the users and find great solutions for their problems.

Things we look for
• 10+ years’ experience as a Full Stack developer, including: TypeScript, React, Elixir, Python, Rust, C++
• 3+ years’ experience in Web Development
• Experience with mobile development on iOS and Android
• 2+ years' experience building on Solana
• Experience integrating AI to an application
• 5+ years' experience working on large, cross-platform software projects
• 3+ years' experience in an engineering leadership role
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup, wearing many hats.
• A focus on value and impact. You will have an eye for what can bring a product from good to great while thinking about how to make the team’s life easier and development more efficient.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English
• Experience working in an agile delivery environment and DevOps.
• Able to describe complex technical solutions in simple terms to non-technical colleagues and clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and systematic thinking

Compensation

• 5-10% equity dependent on experience, skill and availability
