Co-founder & CTO - AI, Generative AI

We are MIGR-AI-TION (https://www.linkedin.com/company/migr-ai-tion), a startup focused on interdisciplinary solutions for AI biases using social science and generative AI. We will offer companies diverse synthetic datasets to train and validate their models. Our mission is to make sure everyone is represented fairly in the datasets.

Currently, we are seeking a CTO to join our team as Co-founder. As a CTO and Co-founder, you will be a critical part of our founding team and play an essential role in shaping our product, team, and culture.

Responsibilities:

• Work hand-in-hand with a social scientist to further develop the startup’s product and vision.
• Help conduct research and consultations to understand customer pain points from a technical point of view.
• Establish our main database and populate it with synthetic data.
• Make architecture decisions to ensure a strong, stable, and scalable data pipeline.
• Design, develop, and deploy new systems that enhance throughput, latency, availability, and security.
• Apply cutting-edge research and new developments to daily work.
• Work with the team to define the company’s development process.
• Identify opportunities and potential for improvement in an entrepreneurial manner.
• Oversee the technology roadmap and vision.
• Build out our tech team over time.

Requirements:

• Strong desire to found a company
• 3+ years of experience in AI research, development and deployment, ideally with a focus on privacy-preserving techniques.
• Experience with open-source synthetic data tools.
• Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices.
• Agile product development mentality.
• Lean startup mindset.
• Great communication skills and fluent in English. German is a plus.
• Able to effectively work independently, structured and goal-oriented.
• Team-oriented and ambitious.
• Strong enthusiasm for diversity and inclusion. Belonging to LGBTQ+, womxn, neurodivergent, and international background is a plus.

• Understanding of systems operations, backend development & cross-platform data management
• Frontend development skills with JavaScript/Typescript, React.
• Cyber security knowledge
• Creative problem-solving skills
