Sr Data Scientist

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the design and development of custom ML, Gen AI, NLP, LLM Models for batch and stream processing-based AI ML pipelines including data ingestion, preprocessing modules, search and retrieval, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), NLP/LLM model development and ensure the end-to-end solution meets all technical and business requirements, and SLA specifications.
2. Work closely with members of technology and business leads and their teams in the design, development, and implementation of the ML model solutions.
3. Relevant experience with a wide range of analytics techniques, such as statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, optimization, simulation, or closely related.
4. Troubleshoot complex issues related to machine learning model development and data pipelines and develop innovative solutions.
5. Collaborate closely with product teams, business stakeholders, and software engineers to ensure smooth integration of machine learning models into production systems.
6. Take part in agile ceremonies to estimate and execute programming projects.

Desired Skills and Experience:

1. 5+ years’ experience professional hands-on experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop data-driven tactical and strategic analytics and insights using ML, NLP.
2. Strong knowledge of and measurable hands-on experience with developing or tuning Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI (GAI).
3. Experience with NLM, LLMs (extractive and generative), fine-tuning and LLM model development. Strong familiarity with open-source models and trends in LLMs.
4. Experience with documentation extraction techniques
5. Proactive, thrives in a startup like environment with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
6. Experience with languages such as R, Python, SPARK, SQL and comfortable with professional software development process and GitHub.
7. Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical peers.
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative startup like environment.
9. Experience in scrum and agile methodologies.

Education:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
