We are seeking a Director, Marketing Strategy & Activation with a deep background in the Consumer sector to join our growing team. This role will drive cross-channel excellence and the execution, evolution, and scale of Bounteous’ strategic activation plans. The ideal candidate is a strong strategic thinker, with demonstrable experience knowing what & where to activate, when to activate, how to optimize spend across all channels, with deep clarity on "the why" relative to marketing goals and “the who” relative to audiences and segmentation strategies.
The Director, Marketing Strategy & Activation should have deep experience in the Retail, Consumer Goods & Services, and/or Travel &Hospitality industries and cross-channel expertise (email, paid search, owned media, earned media, etc.) in creating and executing marketing programs targeted to consumer audiences.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assess client maturity using Bounteous models, understand stakeholder needs, facilitate prioritization, and coordinate an activation roadmap of program activities.
- Work with channel owners to harmonize across channels, translate business objectives intomarketing objectives, and ideate on channel innovation.
- Work with analytics leads to set a learning agenda for analysis and provide business requirements for foundational work in measurement, reporting, and analysis.
- Use the results of analysis to communicate program success and persuade account and client stakeholders for expansion and investment, including opportunities for accelerator engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with marketing strategy activation including hands-on experience in at least one channel; 2+ years of leadership experience coordinating multi-functional teams and cross-channel marketing
- Excellent business acumen – proven ability to think strategically about business, customer experience, and technical challenges; an entrepreneurial approach to finding new growth levers for Bounteous and its clients.
- Analytical – extremely comfortable with structuring and analyzing data, using it to tell a story and drive decisions; experience in working closely with data teams in support of marketing.
- Highly collaborative – skilled at bringing people together, highly organized, and has leadership-level communication; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent.
- Consulting agency experience preferred.
- Experience in Retail, Consumer Goods & Services, and/or Travel & Hospitality; and with multiple customer and distribution models including direct-to-consumer and B2C as well as B2B distribution models.
