UX Usability Testing

At Tractio, we are a design firm that helps early stage companies gain traction. Many early stage companies/startups struggle to have resources. Founding teams typically have a blend of technical and business backgrounds, but much of the time they lack in design skills (UX usability testing, UI/UX design, brand design, etc). This is where Tractio comes in. We look to partner with these organizations to supply their design needs on a limited basis so that when they grow we already have an established partnership.

We are working with a company called Gabbian to do some usability testing for their platform. This is a great opportunity for the designers who want to partner with us in building out their portfolio in user experience usability testing. This opportunity is not paid, but will help aspiring designers get real world experience in usability testing.

What we need:

• UI/UX experience (preferably working with mobile/web)
• An understanding of what makes an intuitive user experience
• The ability to conduct User Exeperience Research, record your findings, and deliver them in an organized/comprhesable way
• The ability to collaborate with other designers and communicate your ideas
• A good culture fit, someone who is smart and follows their insticts yet has humility to hear other’s input

Nice to have’s:

Mobile and web UI/UX experience
Usability testing experience (of the interest to learn)
Have conducted user interviews and can create personas

If quality work is done, there is opportunity for this to lead to a longer term work relationship

Maximum flexibility about where you work and when to work (we mainly care if you get the job done);

Collaborate with a team of designers and developers to bring our features to life
Note: There is no compensation at this point for junior designers but potential compensation for more senior designers. You will be able to place your work/findings in your portfolio
