The Opportunity
People are our greatest asset and the Talent Acquisition team is on the frontlines of helping Abnormal Security scale with incredible new team members. We are seeking a Manager of Talent Acquisition to lead recruiting efforts for our Sales & Marketing (GTM) functions. Reporting into the Head of Talent Acquisition, you'll work closely with business leadership to develop recruiting strategies that land the right talent enabling Abnormal Security to meet its aggressive growth goals.
You’ll use your strong market knowledge and communication skills to tell our story and influence processes and decisions which will contribute to an enhanced candidate experience. It will be important that you build strong relationships to collaborate with peers, business partners and key leaders to drive results for Talent Acquisition. As part of the recruiting team, you’ll have resources to get things done, and autonomy to lead strategy and define tactics to attract technical talent.

What you’ll do: In this role, you will act as both Lead Recruiter and People Manager to other Sales recruiters. Success in this role is defined by your ability to excel in the following areas:
Team/People Leadership
- You have demonstrated ability in hiring recruiters who consistently deliver against their quarterly headcount goals (90%+ attainment to target)
- Have used OKRs to identify top team and business priorities and; your team is clear on the objectives and what success looks like in achieving KRs (60-75%+ attainment)
- Meet weekly with your individual team members to discuss progress against quarterly objectives and anything that may be in the way
- Able to create a team environment that optimizes for speed, agility and quality in how your individual team members do their day-to-day work
- Feedback from your team shows a high level of engagement; they feel trusted and empowered to do their best work.
- Your team’s feedback indicates they see you as a demonstration of our Principles in action
- You lead by example as a player/coach running your own req load of <5 reqs at any given time
Recruiting Ops/Program management
- Ensure data integrity for your team’s reqs in our ATS; run weekly reports and be an evangelist of the process to attain data accuracy of 90+% in the system
- Identify tools and organizations specific to GTM talent pools and then measure the ROI of those resources; make changes as necessary
- Use qualitative/quantitative data to assess and predict workloads for your team, effectively load balancing to ensure recruiters are able to work efficiently and strategically (~15 reqs per recruiter max)
- See any process or operational blockers that exist for the team and remove them
- Conduct post-mortems on candidate offer rejections to understand where we missed and why
- Review candidate and hiring team feedback on a monthly and quarterly basis; build a strategy to maintain a 90%+ positive response rate
Partnership with Functional leaders and teams
- Have weekly syncs with FP&A to ensure the headcount numbers are clearly defined; able to translate this to your team with clear hiring priorities
- Meet weekly with GTM leadership to share overall progress against quarterly hiring targets; use data to show where we are winning and where there might be bottlenecks
- Prepare and present hiring strategies based on headcount needs that will lead to 90%+ attainment of plan
- Make recommendations on any changes needed to interview workflows that will optimize for speed and quality reducing candidate attrition and time-to-fill by x%
- Working with the Head of TA, define a quality of hire measurement and employ the process with GTM
- Run a QBR with your GTM leaders to review success/failures of previous quarter along with focus areas and plan to succeed in upcoming quarter
*****Experience you’ll need:*
- 7+ years of progressive in-house recruiting experience as a recruiter and lead (additional experience in executive search or consulting/agency a plus)
- 3 years minimum leading a recruiting team in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience leading full-cycle recruiting efforts for Sales & Marketing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience building and coaching recruiting teams
- Experience and success partnering with senior leadership and executive teams on recruiting strategies and hiring initiatives
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to use data to show recruiting trends and state of the business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships
- Experience in SaaS and start-up environments
