Director of Product Design

Carefull is a rapidly growing fintech focused on helping families with aging loved ones navigate the challenges of day-to-day finances. It’s a massive and massively underserved opportunity - 45 million Americans are “financial caregivers” and $190B is spent each year taking care of our loved ones. We’re an experienced team of startup entrepreneurs and financial services experts backed by top-tier venture funds. We've looking to bring on a proven Director of Product Design for our next phase of growth.

About the Role:

• Build new and engaging design systems for a new category of software at the intersection of financial caregiving and senior-specific assistance.
• Define the next iteration of the Carefull brand, including visual and experience design.
• Visualize data insights with UX systems that evolve and improve over time.
• Take into account existing insights, technical constraints, business needs, and specific platform demands to produce data-informed solutions.
• Collaborate closely with team members from across engineering, product, and marketing, among others.
• Take full ownership of your work and total responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way, from whiteboard sketching to high-fidelity final treatments.
• Rapidly produce multiple prototypes, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to quickly change paths and try another approach.

About You:

• 5+ years’ experience in product design at early stage companies, or UX ownership within an operating division of a scaled company
• Proven focus on UX/UI design. Illustration and animation skills are a plus.
• Be an enthusiastic, curious creator with the drive to make lots of things happen in a very early-stage environment
• Feel deep accountability for the consistency and overall experience of the product
• Be opinionated and passionate about serving our customers
• Elevate, challenge our thinking at all times in the name of the user.
• Embrace both our consumer and business (B2B) clients
• Have the “people drive” to be able to enter, connect with, and positively benefit communities relevant to growing Carefull
• Communication skills to brainstorm initial design concepts and convince others of the reasoning behind your design work.
