What You Will Be Doing
You will be joining a talented team of Physicians, technologists, and professionals whose top priority is making the way healthcare providers connect in the quickest, most efficient ways possible. Engaging often with the CEO, Dr. Blackstone, you will be overseeing the design and user experience of our software and our design system.
The Senior User Experience (UX) Designer functions as a strong individual contributor while providing leadership for the UX department in growth, mentoring and excellence by promoting collaboration in the department, creating a positive environment, embodying the business/product values and assisting in the achievement of product goals. As a senior team member, this individual is involved in the full life-cycle of design and will be a leader on a team of product and UX professionals focused on connecting healthcare providers to reduce waste and improve efficiencies.
Reporting to the VP of Product Management (currently, the CEO), the Senior User Experience Designer is highly engaged in UX department activities and develops individual as well as team development goals and plans.
Less experienced UX designers are welcome to apply. Salary will be commensurate to experience and skill.
- Systematically create and maintain the company’s universal, component-level, design system and ensure all designs adhere to it
- Define and develop highly usable, responsive user interfaces and designs for web and mobile applications
- Develop effective artifacts to systematically approach the most effective design which includes: journey maps, storyboards, information flows, information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate design strategies and detail interaction behaviors
- Define, develop and review usability requirements
- Interpret business needs and requirements into effective UI parameters
- Effectively and efficiently manage project milestones, deadlines and schedules for assigned projects; keeps the team up-to-date with progress and decisions from concept through project execution.
- Support product managers in making clear decisions that promote well-defined, timely, usable releases.
- Design, plan and conduct stakeholder research activities such as contextual inquiries, persona research, customer interviews and usability testing for various products.
- Analyzes and documents research findings for projects; communicates results and recommendations to product and management teams.
- Facilitate product roadmap and PLG strategy to meet OKRs
- Provide thought leadership in architecting short- and long-term visions for the overall product experience
- Effectively work cross-functionally with user experience designers, product owners, product managers and development teams to align design with the overall product requirements and strategy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.
- Communicates and collaborates with senior stakeholders from across the company, maintaining a trusted relationship with Engineering, UX, Marketing, Sales, Support and executive management.

Experience
- 3+ yrs experience as a UX Designer with focus on web and mobile application design
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering or a related field OR a Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Design, Engineering, OR additional experience above the minimum will be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis required
- Direct experience working at a software product company as a member of agile teams, building, iterating and launching great software products
- Experience designing reusable UX components or libraries
- Mastery of standard interactions design tools and processes, with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience with various modeling, design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, InVision or similar tools required
- Experience planning and executing effective customer research, solo, or in partnership with a UX Researcher
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead projects from concept to delivery and ongoing improvement
