Role Overview

In this role, you’ll be a driving force behind Halfgram’s user experience, designing intuitive, engaging, and impactful interactions. You’ll collaborate with our team and our users to build a product that resonates deeply with those looking for a real connection. Your work will shape the way our users engage with and feel about the app.

Key Responsibilities

• Design seamless, text-based user interfaces that encourage storytelling and connection
• Create engaging onboarding experiences that introduce new users to our unique platform
• Develop, refine, and maintain our design system for a cohesive brand experience
• Gather insights by collaborating directly with users to ensure the design aligns with their needs
• Design assets for the App Store and other marketing platforms
• Conduct user research and usability testing to continuously improve the user experience
• Play an active role in product strategy, helping shape the future of Halfgram

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design skills, ideally with text-centered or community-focused projects
• Proficiency with design tools like Figma
• Solid understanding of design patterns, UI/UX best practices, and accessibility guidelines
• Passionate about digital community, creative content, and meaningful user experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Halfgram user (We strongly prefer candidates who are familiar with our community and understand our mission firsthand)
• Experience working on social or community-driven products
• Familiarity with accessibility principles and best practices
• Interest in minimalist design, digital wellness, and creating intentional, impactful products
