Product Designers play a key role in shaping the next generation email security product experience. You have the opportunity to tackle design challenges across all spectrum, from allowing our customers to learn and understand their state of email security posture, to enabling a new generation of cybersecurity investigation experience that brings tremendous impact to security analysts. Our customers love our products because they combine our complex and advanced cybersecurity technology with a friendly/welcoming, intuitive user experience. We're looking for a designer who's passionate in in problem solving, building close partnership with Abnormal team (design, PM, engineering, data scientists, etc) and customers, and help drive the design team both tactically and strategically forward in the best interest of our customers.

A bit about you

You think ahead. You do everything possible to familiarize yourself with the core customer problem you're trying to solve, and impact assessment to the team and customers.

You think holistically. You are actively involved in defining the strategy for your program, thinking in terms of design systems, not just screens. You're a driven self starter who can work through ambiguity, distill complicated problems into simple and elegant solutions.

You take ownership seriously. Operate as a design generalist, you like to own problems from beginning to end: translate customer problems into ideas that form new features, design the workflows and detailed interactions to bring those ideas to reality.

You tell stories. You can weave a narrative that puts your ideas into the context of real life, whether it’s through words, pictures, or interactive prototypes

You love collaboration. You are constantly providing and seeking for feedback from other designers to always push the bar for quality. You get excited work cross-functionally with engineers, PMs, data scientists, and other partners to arrive at the best possible design solutions for our customers.

Well-Roundedness: Demonstrated experience with the full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design.

Technical Understanding: You understand the technical limitations and liberties behind your decisions and have enough chops to communicate your ideas to our engineers.
