Senior backend developer

We're looking for a senior backend developer for maintaining and enhancing the backend services for a trading and finance sector application.

The backend is written mostly in node.js, with micro-services written in languages that suit the use-case.

Responsibilities

Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable JavaScript/TypeScript code
Maintain and improve the PostgreSQL instance and the Hasura GraphQL layer that exposes the API to the front-end services
Implement core business features in a Nest.js based backend server that integrates with various government provided APIs.
Support test and deployment of new products and features
Plus (not necessary): Maintain kubernetes definitions for deploying the application in a scalable manner
Plus (not necessary): Maintain ML services written in python

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
3+ years of relevant work experience in trading or financial applications.
A solid understanding of the JavaScript language and work experience in maintaining backend servers in express or similar frameworks
Worked on a GraphQL API
Knowledge of Go, TypeScript, and/or Python is a big plus
Knowledge of kubernetes is a big plus
Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
