Within clients we work as a team to support each other and to improve the client's team bit by bit every day. We work alongside our client’s teams rather than isolated in our own team, trying to affect change together when we can and having each other's backs and collaborating when needed. We sometimes form a team with half Pragmateam/half client where we take the lead so that we can enable the client on ways of working as well as technical capabilities. We deliver our client's product in our day-to-day job, working alongside their team, celebrating their wins and helping them overcome issues. We engage with clients for long stints as their delivery partner, allowing us to build trust and really understand their environment, being part of it. This allows us to be more like a product team (than a drop in/out project squad) and see success in it, giving us the best of both worlds in terms of product vs consulting work. We don't bodyshop, we don't leave people on their own, we don't move people all the time, we only work in places where we are aligned and believe in our internal sponsor and where the environment is good. It’s not always easy but by working together and staying united we deliver, change things for the better and grow new capabilities in our client's team. Lastly, we have to continue learning and improving ourselves. We have a healthy culture and environment that allows that to happen through ongoing internal learning opportunities, whether through Team Lunches, Team offsites or attending conferences and utilising your annual training budget. Everyone at Pragmateam is always curious and eager to learn more but equally eager to help and pass on any knowledge they have which others might want. We can't hope to grow others if we have stopped growing ourselves and that means learning new things as well as questioning what we think we already know.
