Based on an in-person clinic at UCSF our web based application, PrehabPal, improves surgery outcomes in older adults through pre-surgery intervention—also known as prehabilitation. We evaluate vulnerabilities with a short digital survey and then guide patients through personalized plans. Exercise and nutrition tasks improve their reserve capacity, while home and advanced care planning tasks anticipate challenges and hazards that can lead to readmission. We believe that this product can transform the market and make real, life-saving impacts for its users.
