People at Commonwealth
Commonwealth started as a very simple throwaway skills-dev project that should have taken an afternoon, but instead became the Gilligan's Island of projects, haunting me with "what if?" ever since the Capital Model was first defined at [fractional.foundation](https://fractional.foundation). After collecting dust for over a year, a series of events led to ripping off the bandaid and beginning to define not just the Capital Model, but the longer term vision of leveraging it as part of [Social Insurance 2.0](https://github.com/DEITrust/SI2). Since rebranding to Commonwealth, collecting resources, developing additional prototypes, and chatting with experts of social-capital, economics and blockchain, I'm increasingly convinced that with the right team to fill in gaps, this project is not just feasible, but necessary. The world needs a new monetary base rooted in transparency, democracy, people and "the commons" to challenge banking or corporate underwritten currencies with an alternative and parallel money option.
