About the job
If you're like us, you spend hours every day on your computer, working with oceans of information. And like us, you want every moment to be optimized for what matters to you: creating, collaborating, and focusing on meaningful work.
Yet all of us waste hours every day just trying to find our stuff - the right tab or window or file. "What was I doing again" and "Where did I save that thing" are thoughts we all have way too often. When we open up our devices, we all share some form of anxiety, frustration, confusion, or annoyance.
None of us want to feel this way.
We're redesigning our digital environment to select our best selves - digital spaces that empower thoughtfulness, creativity, and flow. Feelings of agency, joy, and confidence.
We’d love to share these spaces with you.
At Edvo, we care deeply about helping people think well. We believe the next revolution in computing will be Personal Intelligence and Intelligence Augmentation — the same way everyone has a personal computer (now multiple personal computers), we have a thesis that everyone will have a personal database that augments them wherever they are, on whichever device they use.
We're creating tools to help us make better sense of information and transform passive consumption into active thinking. In order to achieve our goal, we have to help foster an ecosystem that’s bigger than Edvo itself. We have to both build in public and also put forth a protocol which allows personal knowledge graphs to become interpersonal.
Head of Community
As our Head of Community, you must care deeply about helping yourself and others think well, and want to help develop Edvo into a product that creates value for millions of people.
You are knowledgable about Personal Knowledge Management, and are likely a power user of tools like Obsidian, Roam Research, Logseq, etc. You believe in Edvo's product vision and technical potential, and want to ensure we co-create a highly valuable and intuitive product.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Events and Educational Content You're someone who can bring people together to create, share, and exchange meaningful connection through events and virtual content. You love having product discussions and you're obsessed with knowledge management / tools for thought. You love hosting in-person and virtual events. You love creating fun, educational content. You've built communities from scratch before and understand what it takes to create a space where people feel inspired to engage and create value for each other.
Building in Public You'll be working closely with the team to plan, ideate, and implement initiatives that raise awareness for the work we're doing and enable others to co-create/build with it.
Organic Growth You're someone who is a strong functional thinker and understand what's required to drive organic growth. You love experimenting with ways to get our message out to people and communicate authentically. You understand a variety of channels and have organically grown communities before, while maintaining high quality of conversation and connection.
What's it like to work at Edvo?
We're remote-first, so you can work from anywhere in the world. We maintain core working hours of 930AM to 3PM Pacific, when we're all online and available at the same time. We strive to be clear in our communication and our foundation is based on trust.
