London (On-site) · Full-time · £50k–£60k · Reports to VP of Finance
Description
Vollebak is building the world’s first AI-embedded clothing, with applications in human health, defense
and space. For eight years we’ve turned the world’s most advanced materials into the most advanced
clothing on earth. You can see our consumer brand at vollebak.com.
We're hiring a Junior Finance Associate for our London team. You’ll be responsible for the accuracy of
our books, build the forecasts leadership relies on, manage our supplier relationships and payments,
and keep us compliant with UK filing requirements.
Scope
Accounting / FP&A
• Run month-end close: journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Review what our automated systems produce, chase down exceptions and fix the cause
• Prepare audit schedules at year-end
• Own the budget, rolling forecast and cash flow
• Deliver monthly management accounts with clear variance commentary
• Build models and analysis that help department heads make decisions
Vendors, payments, and UK compliance
• Be the go-to contact for suppliers on invoices, statements and disputes
• Run the weekly payment run and verify bank details for new suppliers
• Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns with HMRC
• Keep records current and the compliance calendar on track
Requirements
• 2–5 years in accounting or FP&A, with hands-on month-end and management reporting
• UK VAT return experience and a working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) or IFRS
• Strong Excel: you build models, not just maintain them
• Experience with Xero, Sage, NetSuite or similar
• A clear, confident communicator with suppliers and non-finance teams
• The instinct to question the numbers and fix broken processes
• Right to work in the UK
