Position SummaryTechnical Sales Engineer Fives Giddings & Lewis | Fond du Lac, WIJoin Our Team!Fives Giddings & Lewis is actively seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.Position SummaryThis position is accountable for developing quotations that include accurate technical content, costing and delivery requirements; maintaining correspondence and customer contact; and monitoring progress for machine projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop proposals, letters, work orders, presentations, time studies, and value-selling tools. Interface with engineering, purchasing, contract administration, accounting, and operations. Travel to customer facilities or interface remotely with customers and field sales staff to gather requirements and develop complete proposals. Review contract requirements and translate them into internal work orders. Conduct customer meetings and product presentations. Promote the sale of Fives Giddings & Lewis products and solutions. Provide market, pricing, and competitive intelligence. Maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 awareness and compliance. QualificationsAssociate degree from a two-year college or technical school, or 6-10 years of related experience and/or training. Preferred background in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional presence and customer-facing skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Machine tool, fixturing, application, or part processing experience preferred. Ability to travel up to 10%.
