Technical Cofounder / Founding CTO

The Merritt Method LLC | United States | Remote

The Merritt Method LLC is a bootstrapped technology company developing enterprise AI platforms, SaaS applications, and intelligent financial and operational systems.Our immediate objective is to bring CodexDominion, GrantOps, and VetWealth to paying customers. We need a technical partner who can prioritize commercialization, not simply develop more products.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Technical Cofounder to help commercialize our existing software initiatives, lead technical architecture, and build a sustainable engineering organization.

Our Flagship Products

CodexDominion: Enterprise AI governance, security, compliance, evidence management, and autonomous-agent oversight.

GrantOps: AI-powered grant discovery, proposal development, workflow automation, and grant management.

VetWealth: Technology designed to simplify veterans benefits navigation, eligibility analysis, and evidence management.

Our broader portfolio includes Merritt Intelligence, Government Contractor Financial Infrastructure, Debtfree Copilot & Command Center, Family Command Center, and Family Treasury OS.

Responsibilities

Review and strengthen existing software architectures.
Lead engineering strategy and production-readiness assessments.
Prioritize technical development based on customer demand and commercial value.
Build secure, scalable enterprise SaaS applications.
Develop and integrate AI agents, APIs, and automation systems.
Establish reliable testing, CI/CD, security, and deployment processes.
Participate in product strategy, technical demonstrations, and customer discovery.
Help develop the future engineering team.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience preferred.
Proven experience shipping production software.
Strong TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, and PostgreSQL experience.
Cloud architecture and deployment experience.
AI/LLM integration and agentic systems experience.
Application security and enterprise SaaS expertise.
Previous startup or technical leadership experience preferred.
Willingness to remain hands-on and take technical ownership.

Founding Partnership

This is an early-stage founding partnership opportunity.

The Merritt Method LLC is currently bootstrapped and does not guarantee an immediate salary.

We are open to negotiating meaningful founder equity, vesting, responsibilities, and a long-term compensation structure.

Any engagement will require mutually agreed written terms and compliance with applicable compensation and employment requirements.

We seek a dedicated technical partner, not a staffing agency or short-term development contractor.
