Role Overview
Seeking a Software Development Engineer 1 to independently solve problems, build reliable software, and use AI-native tools to deliver features end-to-end.
Responsibilities
Build and ship software from product requirements to production.
Own features end to end: design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain.
Solve ambiguous engineering problems across backend, APIs, databases, infrastructure, and AI-powered workflows.
Navigate unfamiliar codebases, debug issues, and implement fixes.
Make technical decisions weighing correctness, performance, reliability, security, and cost.
Leverage AI coding agents for exploration, implementation, testing, and refactoring.
Automate repetitive manual processes to improve productivity.
Collaborate in design discussions, code reviews, and continuously improve systems.
Requirements
Strong engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, computational complexity, and software design principles.
Ability to write clear, maintainable, testable code in any language.
Understanding of how software components interact: APIs, databases, networking, and operating systems.
Skill in breaking down complex tasks into verifiable units and communicating technical ideas effectively.
