We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Automation Specialist to develop an end-to-end automation system for product data ingestion, image processing, pricing and bulk product imports for our website.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in web scraping, data processing and workflow automation, with the ability to transform complex supplier information into accurate, structured and import-ready product data.

About the Project

We are looking for a skilled automation professional who can independently design and develop a scalable system that automates the complete e-commerce product management process.

The objective is to minimise manual intervention across product data extraction, supplier price list processing, image optimisation, CSV generation and website imports.

The selected specialist will be responsible for building reliable workflows that can accommodate multiple suppliers, different data formats and ongoing product updates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Web Scraping & Product Data Extraction

• Develop and maintain web scrapers to extract product information from supplier websites, including descriptions, specifications, dimensions, images, prices and other relevant details.
• Convert extracted information into clean, structured and standardised data suitable for website imports.
• Handle different supplier website structures and data formats.
• Implement data validation and error-handling processes to maintain accuracy and consistency.

1. Automated Supplier Price List Processing

• Extract and process supplier price lists from multiple formats, including PDF, Excel and CSV.
• Convert raw supplier information into structured pricing combinations and import-ready CSV files.
• Automate complex pricing calculations involving product variations, finishes, materials, sizes and other configurations.
• Implement dynamic pricing rules that account for currency fluctuations, supplier price revisions and other relevant variables.
• Ensure accurate mapping between supplier product data and website pricing structures.

1. Image Processing & Optimisation

• Automate product image resizing, compression and format conversions according to website requirements.
• Develop workflows to organise, rename and prepare product images for bulk imports.
• Maintain consistent image quality, dimensions and formatting.
• Implement AI-based image enhancement techniques where appropriate.
• Reduce manual image processing while maintaining quality standards.

1. End-to-End Product Import Automation

• Build automated workflows to transform extracted product information into website-compatible CSV files.
• Ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, pricing and variations are correctly mapped.
• Develop processes for bulk product creation and updates.
• Integrate the automation system with our existing website and product management workflows.
• Implement scheduled updates to keep product information, prices and inventory current.

1. Workflow Automation & Process Optimisation

• Identify repetitive product management tasks and replace them with efficient automation solutions.
• Develop scalable scripts, tools and workflows that reduce manual intervention.
• Explore AI-powered tools and automation frameworks to improve processing speed and accuracy.
• Implement task scheduling, error logging and monitoring mechanisms.
• Ensure the resulting system is reliable, maintainable and capable of supporting future supplier integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in web scraping, automation, data processing or e-commerce integrations.
• Strong proficiency in Python and automation frameworks such as Selenium, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy or equivalent tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel automation, CSV processing, data transformation and complex price calculations.
• Experience with image processing technologies such as Pillow, OpenCV, Photoshop automation or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce bulk product imports and exports.
• Experience developing automated data pipelines and integrating information from multiple sources.

Data Processing & Problem-Solving

• Proven ability to convert complex, unstructured supplier information into clean, standardised datasets.
• Experience managing large product catalogues, variations and pricing combinations.
• Strong knowledge of data validation, error handling and automation best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges independently.
• High attention to detail, particularly when handling product specifications and pricing.

Automation & Workflow Development

• Demonstrated experience building end-to-end automation solutions.
• Understanding of workflow scheduling, process monitoring and automated data updates.
• Ability to develop solutions that are scalable, reliable and easy to maintain.
• Familiarity with AI-based automation tools and their practical applications.

Project Budget & Engagement

• Total Project Budget: ₹5,00,000 INR.
• Engagement Type: Freelance
• Work Arrangement: Fully Remote.
