About the Role

We are looking for a curious, motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our team and build across the stack. In this role, you will get hands-on experience designing robust Python backends, experimenting with cutting-edge AI/ML workflows, and bringing products to life with clean, responsive user interfaces.

We embrace a modern engineering workflow. You will not only build with AI, but you will also use AI to accelerate your development—leveraging tools like Vercel’s v0 (v0.dev) to rapidly generate, refine, and ship frontend UI components. You do not need to be a seasoned full-stack architect to succeed here. We are looking for eager learners with a strong Python foundation, basic web development knowledge, and an excitement for building complete, end-to-end features.

What You Will Be Doing

• AI-Assisted UI Development: Use Vercel's v0 (v0.dev) and modern web frameworks (React / Next.js / Tailwind CSS) to rapidly generate, iterate on, and customize clean, responsive user interfaces.
• Connect Frontend to Backend: Wire up UI components to backend services, handling state, data fetching, and user interactions seamlessly.
• Build & Maintain APIs: Develop, test, and document RESTful APIs using Python frameworks (such as Django or FastAPI) to power core product features.
• Explore AI & ML Pipelines: Assist in building and experimenting with AI/ML workflows, including integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and working with orchestration libraries (such as LangChain, Pydantic AI, or DSPy).
• Collaborate & Troubleshoot: Work closely with the team to debug issues across the stack—from UI visual glitches to API performance and data pipeline bottlenecks.

What We Are Looking For

• Python Proficiency: Solid understanding of core Python concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
• Frontend Fundamentals: Basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript/React. You don't need to be a design wizard, but you should be comfortable reading and modifying UI code.
• Comfort with AI Tools: A strong curiosity and willingness to adopt AI-driven development tools (like v0, AI code assistants, or generative UI builders) to speed up your workflow.
• API & Web Basics: Basic understanding of how web applications communicate, including HTTP methods, REST APIs, and JSON data structures.
• Interest in AI/ML: A genuine excitement for machine learning, LLMs, or autonomous systems, even if your prior exposure is limited to coursework or personal projects.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive attitude with the ability to break down problems, ask thoughtful questions, and independently explore solutions.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience working with React, Next.js, or Tailwind CSS in personal or academic projects.
• Prior experimentation with generative UI platforms (like v0.dev) or AI coding assistants.
• A GitHub profile or portfolio showcasing full-stack applications, API integrations, or AI/ML scripts.
• Basic exposure to databases (SQL or NoSQL) and writing basic queries.
• Familiarity with Git version control and command-line basics.
