About the Role

We are seeking a Security Engineer to join our Security Pod and help establish, implement, and maintain EVONAIRE’s cybersecurity infrastructure.

You will work alongside our Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Experience, and Legal Pods to develop secure systems that protect users, creators, company intellectual property, and digital infrastructure.

This is a hands-on engineering position with opportunities to help shape the company’s long-term security architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement application, infrastructure, and cloud security protections.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and authorized penetration testing.
• Develop protections against unauthorized access, reverse engineering, data extraction, and system manipulation.
• Implement encryption, identity management, multifactor authentication, and least-privilege access controls.
• Secure artificial intelligence infrastructure, application interfaces, and user information.
• Establish automated security monitoring, vulnerability management, and patching procedures.
• Maintain incident response, recovery, and disaster preparedness processes.
• Support data privacy, consent enforcement, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to integrate security throughout the development lifecycle.
• Establish audit logging, security documentation, and continuous improvement procedures.

Technical Environment

Experience with some of the following is preferred:

• Python, Django, JavaScript, React, and Next.js
• PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker
• DigitalOcean, Vercel, and Cloudflare
• Cloud infrastructure and application security
• Secure authentication and access management
• Encryption and cryptographic key management
• Security monitoring and incident response
• Secure software development and automated testing
• Web application security standards
• Privacy engineering and data protection

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has professional experience in cybersecurity, application security, or infrastructure security.
• Understands modern security threats and defensive engineering practices.
• Can independently identify risks and implement practical safeguards.
• Values privacy, ethical technology, transparency, and accountability.
• Communicates effectively within a distributed, asynchronous team.
• Enjoys building foundational security systems for an emerging technology company.
• Is comfortable working in a collaborative, early-stage startup environment.

Experience with artificial intelligence security, privacy-preserving technologies, or intellectual property protection is a plus.

Compensation & Equity

EVONAIRE INC. is an early-stage, pre-revenue Public Benefit Corporation.

This position is being developed within our equity-based and deferred compensation model. Any equity allocation, vesting terms, deferred compensation, and payment conditions will be discussed transparently during the hiring process and documented in a formal agreement.
