The Role

EVONAIRE INC. is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the company’s technical strategy, architecture, engineering execution, and long-term technology roadmap.

The Chief Technology Officer will work closely with the Founder and Chief Executive Officer and collaborate across Security, Artificial Intelligence, Experience, Legal, Operations, and Care.

This role requires someone who can move between architecture and execution, support an early-stage engineering team, make sound technical decisions, and build systems that can scale without compromising privacy, security, accessibility, or maintainability.

What You’ll Do

• Own EVONAIRE INC.’s overall technical strategy and architecture
• Translate company vision into practical engineering priorities and milestones
• Lead development of the core platform, infrastructure, internal systems, and technical integrations
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, deployment, observability, documentation, and reliability
• Guide backend, frontend, infrastructure, application programming interface, and platform architecture decisions
• Partner closely with Security to implement secure-by-design systems
• Partner with Artificial Intelligence leadership on bounded, consent-centered artificial intelligence implementation
• Build privacy-preserving and data-minimizing technical systems
• Ensure accessibility and inclusive design considerations are incorporated into engineering decisions
• Establish technical review, release, incident-response, and change-management processes
• Improve developer workflows and engineering velocity without sacrificing quality
• Support hiring, onboarding, mentorship, and technical team development
• Evaluate technical vendors, platforms, infrastructure, and third-party dependencies
• Maintain clear technical documentation and architecture records
• Help prepare the technology stack for growth, scale, audits, partnerships, and future fundraising
• Identify technical risks early and establish clear mitigation strategies
• Protect company intellectual property, source code, infrastructure, and proprietary architecture

Experience with Python, Django, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, containerized infrastructure, cloud deployment, application programming interfaces, security tooling, or modern artificial intelligence systems is especially relevant.

Compensation

4% equity, subject to vesting, applicable approvals, definitive agreements, and company equity documentation.

This is an early-stage equity opportunity. Candidates should independently evaluate the risks and potential rewards associated with equity compensation.

Location and Work Authorization

This opportunity is United States-based only.

Candidates must currently be legally authorized to work in the United States.
