- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
- Own CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to support fast, reliable releases
- Build secure, compliant systems that handle protected health information (PHI)
- Participate in code reviews and share best practices with the team
- Partner with product, QA, and clinical stakeholders across the full development lifecycle
- Support production stability, including on-call coverage as defined in the contract
What You Bring
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, and ORMs such as Prisma, TypeORM, or Sequelize
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure management
- Experience with data pipeline tools (Airbyte, dbt, Airflow, or AWS Glue) and data warehousing
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD
- A track record of owning features end to end, from design through delivery
- Comfort working independently, managing your own schedule, and delivering against agreed milestones
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Availability for approximately 40 hours per week, with at least 4 hours of overlap with Eastern Time
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare technology, including HIPAA compliance and standards such as FHIR or HL7
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Container orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Disaster recovery and backup strategies in AWS
- Experience with GCP or Azure
- Open-source contributions
