Position Description
The best version of us starts with You!
We CGI is looking for a hands-on Healthcare Data Analyst who can take interoperability from data mapping to production ready exchange.
At CGI, we are delivering a healthcare data interoperability engagement for a leading payer/provider client, and we are looking for a Data Analyst with Interoperability expertise to be its analytical and technical anchor.
In this client facing role you will profile and validate source data, define the mapping and transformation rules between systems (HL7 v2, FHIR, CCD/C CDA), partner with clinical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data specifications, and verify data quality and integrity across interfaces before they go live.
This is a high impact role at the center of the engagement, carrying a broad analytical workload that peaks during the early discovery and design phases. You will report to the Engagement Lead and own the data requirements and gap analysis, source to target mappings, interface and data validation, and interoperability test and reconciliation deliverables.
This is a Full-Time, On-Site employment opportunity located in Lafayette, LA or any CGI Office in a Hybrid Model.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Interoperability Data Analysis and Design:
- Analyze, profile, and validate source and target data across clinical, claims, member, and provider systems to support interoperable data exchange.
- Define and maintain source to target mappings and transformation rules for HL7 v2, FHIR, CCD/C CDA, and X12 EDI standards.
- Partner with integration engineers, clinical SMEs, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into clear data and interface specifications.
- Data Governance and Stewardship:
- Support enterprise data governance by defining and maintaining data definitions, business glossaries, and metadata for interoperability data elements.
- Establish and monitor data quality rules, thresholds, and scorecards for data exchanged across interfaces.
- Contribute to data lineage documentation and data catalog updates, so data flows between systems are transparent and traceable.
- Apply data classification, privacy, and security standards (HIPAA, PHI/PII handling, consent) to all interoperability data flows.
- Data Quality and Validation:
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis for interface errors, rejections, and data discrepancies.
- Design and execute interoperability test scenarios and reconciliation checks before and after go live.
- Recommend and drive remediation actions in collaboration with data owners and stewards.
- Regulatory and Standards Alignment:
- Track and assess the impact of interoperability and data exchange regulations (such as CMS Interoperability and Patient Access rule, ONC/TEFCA, and USCDI) on data management practices.
- Help ensure that data exchange solutions align with industry standards, code sets (ICD 10, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED), and internal governance policies.
- Reporting and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to automate validation, mapping, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain clear documentation, including data dictionaries, mapping specifications, and operating procedures.
