About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our engineering squads as a hands-on Individual Contributor.

You will own features end-to-end from understanding requirements and designing solutions to writing production code, testing, deployment, monitoring, and supporting what you build.

This is a full-stack engineering role with a strong backend focus. You'll work on scalable SaaS systems involving APIs, databases, background workflows, distributed systems, and modern frontend applications.

You will work closely with Product, Design, and Lead Engineers to build reliable features and contribute to technical decisions within your squad.

What You'll Do

• Own features and modules end-to-end from requirement understanding and design to development, release, and production support.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, data models, and background workflows.
• Develop responsive and accessible frontend experiences using modern frontend frameworks.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code.
• Create low-level designs using strong object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries.
• Work with NoSQL databases, caching systems, queues, background jobs, and messaging systems where required.
• Build and maintain reliable REST APIs and service integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, profiling, and monitoring tools.
• Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability as usage grows.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design reviews.
• Contribute to CI/CD and deployment practices.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Identify and reduce technical debt while continuously improving the codebase.
• Build POCs and evaluate new technologies when needed.

What We're Looking For

• 3 - 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern backend language and framework.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and low-level design.
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, schema design, and query optimization.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate or equivalent ORM technologies is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, caching, queues, background jobs, or messaging systems.
• Understanding of testing, debugging, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, Git, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure handling of customer data.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
