ABOUT THRESH
Thresh Consulting is a modern digital consulting firm built for the AI era—where strategy, execution, and craft come together to deliver real outcomes with speed. Our specialty is helping organizations design, build, and scale digital products that create exceptional customer experiences and drive value.
At Thresh, our Product teams are builders and collaborators working closely with engineering and design teams. We value clarity over complexity, quality over shortcuts, and learning as a core part of growth.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Associate Product Manager is an early-career product practitioner who keeps delivery teams moving. Working alongside an experienced Product Manager, you'll write clear requirements, keep sprints on track, and help communicate progress to client product leaders.
This role is built for someone with 1-2 years of experience, through internships, school programs, or early professional roles, who wants real responsibility on real product teams. Many of our teams build AI-powered products, so you'll learn how those products get designed, built, and shipped.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Keep delivery on track
- Run day-to-day sprint execution and keep the backlog ready for the team.
- Support sprint ceremonies, including standups, planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
- Track progress, risks, and dependencies, and raise issues early.
- Keep Jira clean and reporting accurate, so everyone works from the same picture.
Write requirements teams can build from
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that engineers and designers can act on without guessing.
- Partner with designers to clarify flows, requirements, and intent.
- Work with engineers to answer questions and remove blockers.
Use AI to work smarter
- Use AI tools like Claude to draft stories, summarize research and meeting notes, and prepare updates faster.
- Review AI output with a critical eye. You own the accuracy of everything you share.
- Learn how AI products differ from traditional software, from how they're tested to how teams decide what an AI feature should and shouldn't do.
Work with clients
- Prepare and share project updates with client product leaders.
- Join client working sessions and capture decisions, actions, and open questions.
- Build trust by being reliable, prepared, and clear.
- Learn to prepare polished, executive update materials for client leaders
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Product discovery: how teams decide what to build and why.
- Prioritization: how to make tradeoffs when everything feels important.
- Measurement: how to define success and tell whether a product is working.
- AI product delivery: how modern teams build with and around AI.
- Consulting craft: how to earn client trust and communicate with senior stakeholders.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 1-2+ years of product-related experience through internships, apprenticeships, coursework, or entry-level roles.
- A working understanding of agile and sprint-based delivery.
- Familiarity with Jira and backlog management.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and organizational discipline.
- Curiosity about AI and how it changes the way products get built. No prior AI experience required; we'll teach you.
- Accountability and a bias toward action.

- Hands-on mentorship from experienced Product Managers.
