We are seeking a talented and motivated Compute Platform Engineer to join our dynamic customer engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting one of our Tier 1 co-engineering partners through the pre- and post-silicon phases all the way through commercialization. This involves board bring up, reproducing/debugging issues, and other related customer support activities.
- Bring up new platform boards and verify the major functions independently
- Regular software release and multiple branch conflict resolving
- Customer Issue Tracking & Coordination: Track customer issues and coordinate with customer and internal support teams to drive timely resolution. Hand-on issue analyzing, triaging, and debugging to solve system issues/requests.
- Issue Replication & Testing: Replicate and test reported issues to support root-cause analysis.
Main Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
- 10+ year of C/C++ programming experience
- 10+ years of System-on-Chip (SoC) system software development experience
- Operating system (Windows, Android, Aluminium) related driver experience
- Strong knowledge of common peripheral buses (I2C/SPI/UART/GPIO, USB, PCIe, SDIO and so on)
- Proactive and positive attitude to solve challenging and complicated problems
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
- Python, Java, and shell script programming language
- Working knowledge of SoC architecture and operating system including task scheduling, memory hierarchy, MMU, interrupt handling and booting sequence
- Demonstrated system software development experience and hands-on abilities including system performance optimization and system issue analysis
- Experience in modern PC industry, bootloader (UEFI), Windows driver and Windows debugging
- Perform power analysis and optimization for MediaTek SoC platforms used in Compute products. Measure/Optimize power consumption for HoBL use cases while balancing performance, power efficiency, and thermal management. Identify power hotspots and collaborate with driver and low-power teams to implement and validate optimization solutions.
- The ideal candidate should be a fast learner, self-motivated, resilient under pressure, and capable of providing on-site technical support to customers.
Salary Range: $179,760- $286,000
Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
