Full Stack Engineer (MERN, AI-Assisted Development)

About Us

Kongu Engineering and Software Services (Kongu ESS) was founded in Singapore in 2024 and opened its Indian branch in September 2026. We are a fast-growing tech company solving international engineering problems in software, electronics, and AI/ML.

The Role

You will work on international, cutting-edge projects that start from new concepts and ideas. You will use AI coding tools (Lovable, Claude Code, or similar) to write code, unit tests, and automated tests, but you own the result. Every line must be reviewed, understood, and tested by you. We are looking for creative, independent thinkers who take full ownership.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Design REST APIs and MongoDB schemas and integrate AI and third-party services.
• Use AI coding agents for development and testing, and manually review all AI-generated code.
• Own tasks from requirement clarification through design review to delivery.
• Follow the team process: stand-ups, task tracking, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and help raise code quality.

What You Need

• 3+ years of hands-on MERN stack experience.
• Strong JavaScript (ES6+), React Hooks, and state management (Redux/Zustand).
• MongoDB schema design, aggregation, and indexing.
• JWT/OAuth authentication, and unit testing (Jest or similar).
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools in real projects.
• Git, PR workflows, and Agile practices.
• Good to have: TypeScript, CI/CD, AWS, multi-tenant apps.

Work Setup
