About the job
This is an in-house position in Beverly Hills. This is not a remote role.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of apparel production experience required
- Extensive experience producing and importing apparel from China
- Strong existing knowledge of overseas factories, vendors, sourcing and production processes
- Expert at maintaining and managing WIP reports
- Able to manage production calendars and keep factories accountable to deadlines
- Strong understanding of costing and the ability to negotiate costs directly with factories
- Experience reviewing POs, quantities, deliveries, approvals and production status
- Able to identify production problems before they become delivery problems
- Strong understanding of apparel construction, fabrics, washes and production
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent follow-up and communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple programs, factories and deadlines simultaneously
The Person We Want
We move fast, and we need someone who does too.
You should be organized, dedicated, hardworking and accountable. You don't wait for someone to tell you that an order is late — you know it's at risk weeks before it becomes late and are already working on the solution.
We want someone who can build strong relationships with our factories while also holding them accountable on price, quality and delivery.
This is not a position for someone who simply updates a WIP. We want someone who owns the WIP and owns the production process.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing production across multiple apparel programs, including:
- Managing production from PO through shipment
- Communicating directly with overseas factories
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date WIP reports
- Tracking production milestones and delivery dates
- Negotiating FOB/LDP costs and resolving costing issues
- Following up on fabrics, trims, samples, approvals and production
- Escalating potential delays before they affect delivery
- Working closely with Design, Sales, Operations and Sourcing
- Managing priorities across multiple customers and programs
- Helping improve our production systems, processes and factory accountability
