Software Engineer – Workday Adaptive Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Greensboro, NC; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX

Employment Type: W2 or 1099

Job Summary

We are looking for a Workday Adaptive Developer with hands-on experience configuring and managing workforce planning solutions. The successful candidate will support the design, development, testing, integration, and ongoing optimization of Workday Adaptive Planning functionality.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and test Workday Adaptive Planning solutions.
Develop and maintain complex models, sheets, dashboards, reports, and integrations.
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analyses, and recommend solutions.
Support headcount and cost planning, resource and capacity planning, strategic workforce planning, and talent planning.
Collaborate with reporting teams, skills teams, and business users to optimize functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration, business process, integration, and data issues.
Support production analysts with technical and functional issues.
Maintain product documentation, user guides, job aids, and training materials.
Support integrations involving Workday Prism Analytics, Tableau, Core HCM, and enterprise skills assessment tools.
Participate in Agile delivery activities and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in HR technology projects and teams.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience configuring and managing Workday Adaptive Planning workforce planning modules.
Strong knowledge of models, sheets, dashboards, reporting, administration, and integrations.
Understanding of HR processes and strategic workforce planning.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with Agile product delivery and the Technology Development Life Cycle.
Experience with Rally is beneficial.
