At myBalto, we're on a mission to keep pets with the families who love them. We provide veterinary hospitals with powerful tools to create and manage their own Angel Funds — charitable resources that help pet owners afford life-saving care without the heartbreak of financial euthanasia.
We've been operating for ~3 years, partnering with 300+ veterinary hospitals across the country and growing. We've facilitated hundreds of thousands in donations and helped countless pets receive critical care. We're now launching VetPayToGo, our specialized veterinary payment processor designed to lower fees for practices while seamlessly integrating charitable round-ups and other mission-aligned features.

The Role
We're looking for a passionate Full-Stack Developer to join us full-time and help build the next chapter of myBalto. You'll play a key role in scaling our SaaS platform, launching and optimizing our payment processor infrastructure, and delivering features that make a real difference for hospitals, pet owners, and our charitable mission.

This is an equity-first opportunity — we're offering substantial equity to someone who wants to grow with the company as we expand payments, integrations (PIMS, etc.), fundraising tools, and more.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain our core SaaS platform and VetPayToGo payment processing features. Build integrations with veterinary practice management systems (PIMS), payment gateways, and charity tools.
• Help scale backend infrastructure for reliability, security, and high transaction volumes.
• Implement user-facing features like donation round-ups, fund management dashboards, invoicing, and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with founders and a small team to ship quickly and iterate based on hospital feedback.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and support production systems as we grow.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with full-stack development (we're flexible on exact stack but value modern web technologies, APIs, databases, and cloud services).
• Experience with payments/fintech (processing, compliance, security) is a big plus.
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms, subscriptions, or charitable/nonprofit tools is highly desirable.
• Passion for mission-driven work — you care about making a difference for pets and vets.
• Comfortable in a startup environment: resourceful, adaptable, and excited by ownership and equity upside.
• Ability to work independently and move fast while maintaining high code quality and security standards.
• Bonus: Experience with veterinary tech, no-code tools (e.g., Xano), or AI/automation.
