Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented, ethical, and dependable Accountant to support nonprofit financial operations, bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and financial controls.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that accurate financial management protects resources, strengthens accountability, and directly supports community impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger entries, and supporting documentation.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, payments, and reconciliations.
• Track income and expenses by program, funding source, and budget category.
• Monitor budgets and prepare budget-to-actual reports.
• Support payroll, cash-flow tracking, and financial forecasting.
• Prepare monthly, program, and grant-related financial reports.
• Ensure expenditures are properly documented and aligned with applicable funding requirements.
• Maintain organized records for audits, reviews, tax filings, and compliance.
• Support internal financial controls and identify discrepancies or unusual transactions.
• Work with leadership, program staff, vendors, and external accounting professionals.
• Provide clear financial information to support responsible decision-making.
• Help ensure financial resources are properly managed and connected to program activities.
