About The Role :

Newton School is looking for an MIS Executive who is highly proficient in Advanced Excel, has strong attention to detail, and possesses good communication and coordination skills.

The role involves managing and maintaining business reports, analyzing operational data, preparing MIS reports, tracking key performance metrics, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting for business and management teams.

You will work closely with internal teams to collect, validate, organize, and analyze data, identify trends or discrepancies, and provide accurate reports that support day-to-day business operations and decision-making.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with data, is highly organized, and can effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

MIS Reporting & Data Management :

Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and business dashboards.

Collect, consolidate, and organize data from multiple sources to prepare accurate reports.

Maintain and update reporting trackers, databases, and operational dashboards.

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data used for reporting.

Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to identify discrepancies.

Track key business and operational metrics and highlight important trends or deviations.

Generate ad-hoc reports and analysis based on business and management requirements.

Advanced Excel & Data Analysis :

Use Advanced Excel to analyze large datasets and prepare structured reports.

Work extensively with formulas, functions, Pivot Tables, lookups, conditional formatting, and data validation.

Use functions such as XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF/IFS, TEXT functions, and other advanced Excel functions.

Create dynamic reports and dashboards to track business performance.

Clean, transform, and organize raw data into meaningful and usable formats.

Identify patterns, inconsistencies, and data gaps and take appropriate corrective action.

Automate repetitive reporting tasks wherever possible using Excel.

Reporting & Dashboarding :

Build and maintain MIS dashboards for tracking business and operational performance.

Design reports that clearly present key metrics, trends, and performance indicators.

Ensure reports are updated accurately and within defined timelines.

Maintain standardized reporting formats and ensure consistency across reports.

Support management with timely and accurate data for decision-making.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication :

Coordinate with different internal teams to collect and validate required data.

Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely submission of information.

Communicate data-related issues, discrepancies, and reporting requirements clearly.

Understand business requirements and translate them into appropriate reports and trackers.

Present reports and key observations to relevant stakeholders when required.

Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth reporting processes.

Required Skills :

Strong proficiency in Advanced MS Excel.

Hands-on experience with Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF/IFS, and other Excel functions.

Strong data management and reporting skills.

Good understanding of MIS reporting and business metrics.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work with large datasets and identify discrepancies.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Good stakeholder coordination and follow-up skills.

Ability to manage multiple reports and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience working with MIS, reporting, operations, sales, finance, or business teams.

Experience creating Excel-based dashboards and automated reports.

Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting/BI tools is a plus.

Familiarity with basic data visualization and reporting practices.

Experience with Excel macros/VBA is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline such as B.Com, BBA, BBM, BCA, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

1+ year of experience in MIS, reporting, operations, sales support, business operations, or a similar role.

Candidates with strong Advanced Excel skills, good communication abilities, and strong attention to detail are encouraged to apply.
