*About the Role

As an Associate Matchmaker, you’ll be at the heart of how matchmaking happens at The Date Crew.
You’ll work closely with our matchmakers and members across the matchmaking journey, from understanding what someone is looking for, to finding and evaluating potential matches, expanding our internal database, supporting onboarding, and making sure the right conversations happen at the right time..

You’ll also speak directly with prospective and existing members, understand their needs, and help create a warm, thoughtful experience throughout their journey.

This role is ideal for someone who is curious about people, naturally observant, enjoys conversations, and likes solving messy human problems with both empathy and logic.

*Who You Are
*

• 1–3 years of experience in a customer-facing or client servicing role, with an academic background in Psychology is mandatory.
• Strong communication skills,especially the ability to listen, and ask the right questions
• Genuinely curious about people and what makes relationships work
• Naturally observant - you notice things that others might miss
• Comfortable speaking to people from different backgrounds
• Able to think both emotionally and logically
• Strong research and problem-solving skills
• Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple conversations, profiles, and follow-ups

*What You’ll Do
*

1. Build & Expand the Matchmaking Database
   Research and identify relevant profiles from multiple sources
   Expand and maintain TDC’s internal matchmaking database
   Understand profiles beyond surface-level information

2. Understand Members & Their Needs
   Speak with prospective and existing members to understand their background, intent, preferences, and relationship goals
   Build a strong understanding of member personalities, values, expectations, and deal-breakers
   Keep track of how member preferences and needs evolve throughout their journey

3. Shortlist & Evaluate Potential Matches
   Work closely with matchmakers to identify suitable profiles for members
   Evaluate compatibility across values, personality, lifestyle, relationship expectations, and other relevant factors
   Look beyond checklists and surface-level similarities

4. Support the Matchmaking Journey
   Assist with onboarding new members and setting the right context for the matchmaking process
   Coordinate between members, potential matches, and matchmakers
   Track introductions, responses, feedback, and member engagement
   Follow up with members and ensure conversations don’t fall through the cracks
   Understand feedback after introductions and use it to improve future matching
   Maintain detailed CRM notes and match histories

5. Member Conversation.
   Speak with prospects exploring TDC Membership
   Help them understand how the matchmaking process works
   Build trust through thoughtful, consultative conversations.
