About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Program Manager to drive planning, execution, and continuous improvement across our Engineering organization. You'll act as the execution orchestrator across Engineering — turning roadmap priorities into executable plans, keeping cross-team delivery on track, and making sure customer-impacting issues, releases, and demos move smoothly from commitment to completion.
You'll work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), and Sales Engineers (SEs), and you'll need to influence outcomes without direct authority — bringing structure to ambiguous problems and surfacing risks early.
Key Responsibilities
Roadmap & Sprint Execution
Translate roadmap objectives into milestones, deliverables, and timelines across Engineering teams.
Own planning and tracking for sprints and projects: define dependencies, track scope changes and blockers, and flag delivery risk before it becomes slippage.
Sequence work across teams based on business priority, capacity, and dependencies; facilitate trade-off discussions when priorities conflict.
Maintain program dashboards as the single source of truth for delivery status.Cross-Functional & Customer Issue Coordination
Serve as the coordination point between Engineering, Product, Customer Supoort, CSMs, and SEs on customer-reported issues.
Track issues from investigation through release and customer validation; drive aging or high-impact issues to resolution.
Ensure decisions, owners, and timelines are documented and communicated; escalate critical issues with clear context and recommended action.Release & Demo Coordination
Coordinate releases across Development, QA, Product, and DevOps; own release timelines and readiness reviews.
Organize feature/sprint demos for CSMs, SEs, and Product; ensure feedback and action items get routed to the right owners.
Support post-release validation and retrospectives for major releases.Quality, RCA & Continuous Improvement
Drive completion of Root Cause Analyses for significant customer-impacting bugs and recurring defects, with clear owners and target dates.
Analyze issue data to spot systemic patterns; partner with Customer Support, Engineering and Product on permanent fixes, not workarounds.
Facilitate retrospectives and ensure findings feed back into planning.Process Improvement
Identify bottlenecks, gaps, and manual effort in existing workflows; design and standardize processes that improve predictability.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tracking and reporting.
Establish metrics to confirm process changes are actually working.
Tracking & Improving Customer Support SLAs.Stakeholder Communication
Run a predictable communication cadence covering progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decisions needed.
Tailor updates for Engineering, Product, customer-facing teams, and leadership.
Proactively surface deviations from plan — don't wait for escalation.
What We're Looking For
5+ years in Program Management, Technical Program Management, or Engineering Project Management in a software/technology company.
Proven experience driving execution across multiple Engineering teams with interdependent deliverables, in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Track record coordinating cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, QA, Customer Success, Customer Support, Sales/SE).
Strong stakeholder management — able to influence and drive outcomes without direct authority.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and delivery/reporting tools.
Experience with release management, RCA/defect trend analysis, or engineering dashboards.
Good to Have
Technical background or experience working closely with engineers.
B2B SaaS / enterprise software experience.
Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, or application architecture.
Experience with distributed/geographically diverse teams.
PMP, SAFe, or Scrum Master certification.
Strong analytical skills and comfort operating in ambiguity with shifting priorities.
Success in This Role
Roadmap and sprint delivery become measurably more predictable.
Customer-impacting issues resolve faster, with clear ownership and tracking.
Recurring defects decline through consistent RCA follow-through.
Engineering, Customer Support, Product, CSM, and SE teams report better visibility and alignment.
