The Opportunity

Highspring is seeking a Senior Python Developer with experience in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI solutions to support a long-term enterprise initiative. This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who enjoys designing scalable applications, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to the development of cutting-edge AI-powered platforms.

You will work within a global delivery environment focused on building and evolving enterprise AI solutions, reusable Python frameworks, and Generative AI capabilities.

Location: Montréal, QC

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Python applications and services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Enhance and support internal Python libraries, frameworks, and AI-related tooling.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Participate in prompt engineering, prompt optimization, and prompt lifecycle management activities.
• Improve prompts and workflows as new large language model (LLM) versions become available.
• Execute testing, benchmarking, and performance evaluations of AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Monitor application performance and support production environments.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with globally distributed teams.

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Python expertise.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Passion for continuous learning and emerging AI technologies.
