Must-Haves:

• 4-6 years of network/security engineering experience
• Experience creating and updating firewall access policy requests
• Hands-on Palo Alto Firewall experience (strongly preferred)
• Experience with VPN firewall configurations
• Firewall rule implementation and policy management
• Networking fundamentals including:
• Routing protocols
• Network hardware and software
• Network infrastructure
• Security technologies
• Experience working ticket queues and implementing firewall changes
• Firewall certifications preferred/required by client

Plusses:

• Cisco Firewall experience
• Juniper Firewall experience
• Palo Alto certifications
• Datacenter network/security experience
• Intrusion detection and firewall security tuning experience
• Experience with enterprise-scale network environments

Day-to-Day:

• Process firewall-related tickets from the ticketing system
• Create and update firewall access policies within Palo Alto firewalls
• Implement firewall rules aligned with company security policies
• Support data flow into and out of enterprise datacenters
• Configure and maintain VPN firewall solutions
• Test, tune, and optimize firewall security configurations
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and security issues
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on firewall requests
• Ensure proper security controls and compliance standards are maintained
