Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: Irving, TX/Charlotte, NC

The Role

Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Solution Development

* Work directly with client stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to understand business requirements and technical challenges.

* Develop and deliver client-specific solutions using Java-based technologies and AI-powered development tools.

* Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and deployment strategies.

* Serve as a trusted technical advisor by providing recommendations and solution roadmaps.

AI-Powered Engineering & Devin AI

* Leverage Devin AI and other AI engineering agents to automate software development activities.

* Develop and optimize AI-assisted workflows for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and deployment.

* Review and optimize AI-generated code for scalability, maintainability, and security.

* Establish AI-driven engineering practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

* Work closely with product and engineering teams to enhance AI-assisted development capabilities.

Software Development

* Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.

* Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.

* Develop scalable backend systems using cloud-native architectures.

* Deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure applications.

Customer Deployment & Enablement

* Lead customer implementations, proof-of-concepts, and production deployments.

* Configure and integrate client environments with AI-powered applications and platforms.

* Conduct technical workshops, demonstrations, and training sessions.

* Troubleshoot complex customer issues and provide technical guidance.

Architecture & Integration

* Develop solution architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.

* Integrate enterprise applications with third-party APIs, databases, and SaaS platforms.

* Support CI/CD automation and DevOps best practices.

* Drive modernization initiatives using AI capabilities.

Requirements

* 15+ years of software engineering experience.

* Strong experience in Java Full Stack application development.

* Strong experience with Devin and Claude at the enablement and adoption level.

* Experience creating high-value Devin playbooks for greenfield, brownfield, and migration use cases.

* Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a client-facing technical role.

* Experience deploying and supporting cloud-based solutions.
