The Technical Lead will also provide technical direction to developers, drive implementation, conduct code/design reviews, and resolve complex technical issues.

This role can be performed from any US CGI office.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Lead the design, configuration, development, and implementation of Google Document AI solutions

Configure DocAI processors, Custom Document Extractor, schemas/entities, classification, extraction, confidence thresholds, and model tuning

Develop orchestration using Google Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, APIs, and related GCP services

Develop Python based APIs, microservices, pre/post processing logic, JSON transformations, and enterprise integrations

Implement error handling, retry/reprocessing, logging, monitoring, and production support

Translate business and architectural requirements into technical designs and development tasks

Lead and drive developers through technical direction, work assignments, code/design reviews, mentoring, and resolution of technical blockers

Remain hands on with development and troubleshooting through testing, deployment, and production stabilization

Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

7+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership

3+ years of AI/ML, Document AI, or IDP experience

Strong hands on experience implementing Google Document AI in production

Experience with DocAI configuration, Custom Document Extractor, classification, extraction, model training/tuning, and accuracy optimization

Strong development experience with Google Cloud Functions and event driven GCP architectures

Strong Python development skills and experience building REST APIs, microservices, and JSON integrations

Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring

Experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern DevOps practices

Proven ability to lead developers while remaining hands on technically

At least one end to end production IDP implementation

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Vertex AI/Gemini, HITL solutions, Docker/Kubernetes, LLMs/RAG, and enterprise content/workflow platforms

Must Have: Direct, hands on production experience configuring Google Document AI and developing GCP/Cloud Functions orchestration

This is a development lead role—not a purely architectural AI position
