About the job

ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is seeking a Manager, Production Operations to guide technical production operations across our live and recorded programming. This role is responsible for building a consistent, scalable operating model that supports high-quality execution across all productions, shifts, and teams. As Manager, Production Operations, you will lead Supervisors and Production Assistants, strengthen frontline operational structures, drive standardization across workflows, strengthen resource planning, and partner cross-functionally to ensure productions run smoothly, efficiently, and seamlessly. This role relies on live production fluency, including hands-on multi-camera directing and technical directing experience in live or recorded production environments. It is ideal for a collaborative leader who can balance day-to-day operational oversight with long-term process improvement, team development, and organizational clarity.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in operations management within technical production environments, direct experience leading or participating in multi-camera control room environments, strong live production knowledge, excellent people leadership, and the technical fluency to participate meaningfully in production decisions. You should demonstrate strong judgment in live show conditions, including the ability to make clear, timely decisions in the control room when productions are active and conditions are changing.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Oversee daily production operations across shifts, ensuring productions run to schedule and teams execute smoothly and consistently
  • Lead daily team operations through clear communication, structured support, and shared performance standards
  • Mentor Supervisors as people leaders, building clear structure, accountability, and strong performance standards across the team
  • Oversee Production Assistants, ensuring clear role expectations, effective day-to-day support, development, and consistent performance across productions and shifts
  • Create and maintain scalable workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operating frameworks that support consistency across productions
  • Define escalation protocols and ensure issues are resolved consistently, with trends reviewed to inform operational improvements
  • Partner with the Global Production Scheduling Team to design effective shift planning, PTO coverage, and operational balance
  • Build structured training programs that strengthen supervisor capability and improve consistency in team leadership and execution
  • Lead inclusive hiring and performance enablement for Supervisors, Assistant Production Directors, and Production Assistants, supporting team growth and long-term capability building
  • Monitor quality and operational performance trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes that strengthen execution
  • Coordinate across departments to remove blockers, improve communication, and strengthen end-to-end production workflows
  • Partner with Studio Operations to ensure studio readiness, operational uptime, and seamless support for productions
  • Build effective relationships with mid-level stakeholders to ensure communication standards are clear, consistent, and effective across teams
  • Optimize tools, workflows, and team processes, driving adoption and continuous improvement across Production Operations
  • Analyze operational trends and report performance insights, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Provide steady control room leadership during live and recorded productions, supporting clear communication, timely decision-making, and consistent execution under active show conditions

CORE FOCUS

  • Build consistency across all productions through supportive systems, standards, and execution
  • Develop scalable workflows and SOPs that support operational excellence as the business grows
  • Guide Supervisors to grow as confident decision-makers and people managers
  • Foster efficiency, quality, accountability, and cross-functional alignment across Production Operations
  • Support strong technical execution across multi-camera and live production environments
  • Strengthen control room leadership, decision-making, and communication standards during active productions

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Production operations run consistently and effectively without dependency on individual team members
  • Supervisors lead autonomously, make sound decisions, and guide team performance with confidence
  • Teams operate within a clear structure, supported by comprehensive training, communication, and mutual accountability
  • SOPs and workflows are documented, adopted, and continuously improved
  • Operational quality, efficiency, and readiness improve over time through clear planning, leadership, and execution
  • Technical production execution is consistent, reliable, and aligned across live and recorded programming
  • Control room decision-making remains clear, timely, and effective during active productions

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, ideally within a live broadcast, studio, or technical production environment
  • Hands-on experience with multi-camera directing and technical directing in live or recorded production environments
  • Demonstrated control room leadership, with sound judgment under live show conditions and the ability to make clear, timely decisions during active productions
  • Strong technical production background and understanding of live production workflows
  • Technical fluency sufficient to participate meaningfully in production discussions, troubleshoot operational issues, and partner effectively with technical teams
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to build structure, improve workflows, and lead operational change
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions
  • Experience developing teams through coaching, training, performance enablement, and clear accountability
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and media production tools and systems
