About the job

About the Role

We’re looking for a hungry, hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineer who wants to build quickly, learn constantly, and work across both established production systems and modern AI-native products.

We operate a growing portfolio of technology products across digital marketing, customer acquisition, communications, data, workflow automation and other technology-enabled businesses.

Our technology environment spans multiple generations. Some of our core production infrastructure runs on a proven Microsoft stack including .NET, C# and SQL Server. Our newest applications are being built using technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL and modern cloud infrastructure.

At the same time, we're aggressively exploring the next generation of software development: engineering environments where developers work alongside multiple AI models to design, build, test, review and ship software.

We care less about years of experience or where you went to school and more about what you can build, how quickly you can learn, and how effectively you can use modern tools to solve difficult problems.

If you're a builder who is excited about where software engineering is heading, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

You'll work across our technology portfolio rather than being confined to a single application or narrow part of the stack.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building full-stack features across frontend, backend and database layers
  • Developing new customer-facing applications and internal products
  • Building APIs, integrations, webhooks and background services
  • Working with modern TypeScript/JavaScript applications
  • Working with existing .NET, C# and SQL Server applications
  • Connecting established production systems with newer applications and services
  • Designing and working with relational databases
  • Debugging production issues and improving application performance
  • Building integrations with third-party APIs and technology platforms
  • Improving testing, deployment and development workflows
  • Prototyping new products and features quickly
  • Taking ideas from concept through production
  • Using AI extensively throughout the software development lifecycle

You'll have meaningful ownership over what you build and the opportunity to see your work reach production quickly.

Our Technology Environment

Our existing technology environment includes:

Established Stack

  • C#
  • .NET / ASP.NET
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • REST APIs
  • Stored procedures
  • Relational databases
  • Long-running production applications

Modern Stack

  • TypeScript
  • JavaScript
  • React
  • Next.js
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Supabase
  • Modern REST APIs and webhooks
  • OAuth
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Multi-tenant SaaS architecture

You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed above.

We would rather hire someone who can quickly learn an unfamiliar technology than someone who only wants to work within a stack they already know.

AI-Native Engineering

This is an important part of the role.

We believe AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built.

We don't view AI simply as autocomplete or a tool for generating occasional snippets of code. We are actively building an engineering environment where developers can use multiple AI models as part of their everyday development workflow.

That may include tools and models such as:

  • Claude / Claude Code
  • ChatGPT / Codex
  • Cursor
  • Kimi
  • GitHub
  • Emerging AI coding agents and development tools

We don't believe there will necessarily be one "best" AI model for software engineering.

Different models may ultimately be better at different tasks.

One might be better at architecture.

Another might be better at implementation.

Another might be better at debugging.

Another might be better at code review or testing.

We want to build an engineering ecosystem capable of using the right model for the right job.

You'll help us experiment with and improve development loops such as:

Plan → Build → Test → Review → Fix → Validate → Ship

The goal is to create an environment where talented engineers can orchestrate AI systems to dramatically increase the amount and quality of software they can build.

If you're already experimenting heavily with AI coding tools, we want to hear about it.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with strong software engineering fundamentals and a genuine desire to build.

You should have:

  • Full-stack software development experience
  • Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
  • Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React
  • Backend development experience
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL
  • Experience building or consuming APIs
  • Understanding of Git and modern development workflows
  • Ability to read and understand unfamiliar code
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience using AI coding tools as part of your development workflow

Experience with C#, .NET or Microsoft SQL Server is a plus, but we are open to strong developers who can learn that environment quickly.

What Matters More Than Your Resume

We're interested in what you've actually built.

Side projects matter.

GitHub projects matter.

Products you've launched matter.

Things you've automated because you were tired of doing them manually matter.

A weekend project that demonstrates creativity and technical ability may tell us more about you than another certification.

We're particularly interested in developers who naturally ask:

Can I build this?

Can I automate this?

Can AI handle part of this?

Is there a faster or better way to solve this problem?

Who Will Thrive Here

You'll probably enjoy working with us if you:

  • Like building things from scratch
  • Enjoy working across frontend, backend and infrastructure
  • Learn new technologies quickly
  • Are comfortable figuring things out without perfect documentation
  • Want meaningful ownership over what you build
  • Like experimenting with new developer tools
  • Already use AI heavily when writing software
  • Don't blindly trust AI-generated code—you test and validate it
  • Prefer shipping working software over endlessly discussing how to build it
  • Are comfortable moving between established systems and brand-new products
  • Want to understand the business problem behind what you're building

This probably isn't the right environment if you need every requirement completely defined before starting work or only want to work within one specific technology stack.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first several months, you should be able to move comfortably between our existing and modern applications.

You'll be shipping meaningful product features.

You'll understand how our core applications and databases interact.

You'll help connect established systems with newer applications and APIs.

You'll help improve our development, testing and deployment processes.

You'll experiment with different AI models and determine where each provides the most leverage.

Over time, you'll help us build reusable tools and engineering workflows that allow a relatively small engineering team to operate with significantly greater speed and capability.

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to get exposure to a much broader set of engineering challenges than you'd typically encounter working on one product inside a large company.

You'll work with:

Production applications.

Modern web products.

APIs.

Databases.

AI.

Automation.

Cloud infrastructure.

Third-party integrations.

Legacy modernization.

And entirely new products that don't exist yet.

You'll work closely with business and technology leadership and have the ability to influence not only what we build, but how we build it.

We're building toward an engineering culture designed around where software development is going—not where it has been.

If you're technically capable, intensely curious, hungry to build, and excited about what AI is doing to software engineering, we'd like to meet you.

How to Apply

Please send us your resume along with anything that helps demonstrate what you can build.

GitHub profiles, side projects, live applications, prototypes and personal projects are encouraged.

And tell us briefly:

What's the most interesting thing you've built using AI, and how did you use AI to build it?

We care more about the answer to that question than a perfectly formatted cover letter.
