About the job
Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP)
Posted by: Vashistha Consulting Group (VCG), on behalf of a confidential client
Location: Bengaluru — Work From Office
Work Week: 5 days
Experience: 4–7+ years in an HRBP role
Compensation: flexible for candidates with strong, independent HRBP experience
About the Client
Our client began in 2018 as a WhatsApp group built on a simple hypothesis: people in India's tier-2/3 towns weren't yet using the internet meaningfully. Starting with local-language content built daily habit and trust — and that trust became the foundation for classifieds, jobs, and eventually much more.
What started as one app trying to do everything became a house of focused, verticalised apps — much like Craigslist quietly seeded a generation of focused marketplaces. Today, the company operates dozens of live apps spanning:
Edutainment & Skill Learning — practical, regional-language learning
Matrimonial Matchmaking — hyperlocal, compatibility-first
Agri Consulting — farmer-first advisory
Local Jobs — blue- and grey-collar opportunities close to home
Social & Community
Emotional Well-being & Peer Support
Astrology & Guidance
Advisory Services — early bets in legal, financial, and career guidance
At its core, the company is a discovery and access platform: local-language internet + deep Bharat insight + AI — built to connect Tier-2/3+ India to the knowledge, opportunities, and experts they've always deserved.
Backed by Y Combinator, Sony, Global Brain, India Quotient, and 3one4 Capital.
They ship fast. They learn fast. They build for Bharat.
