About the job
Record Retrieval Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our remote healthcare operations team. This position is designed for a licensed nursing professional who can apply clinical knowledge to healthcare documentation, medical records, quality review, and administrative operations.
The Remote Registered Nurse will help support the accurate handling and review of healthcare information while collaborating with internal teams, healthcare organizations, providers, and clients. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical knowledge with excellent organization, communication, documentation, and computer skills.
This opportunity is particularly well suited for an RN interested in transitioning from traditional bedside nursing into a remote healthcare operations, medical-records, documentation, or clinical support role.
Position Summary
The Remote Registered Nurse will provide clinical and administrative support for healthcare-related records and operational activities. Responsibilities may include reviewing medical documentation for completeness and consistency, identifying relevant clinical information, assisting with records-related projects, communicating with healthcare organizations, and supporting internal quality-assurance processes.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently, manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality when handling protected health information and other sensitive records.
The RN will not independently diagnose, prescribe, or provide direct patient care through this position unless specifically authorized under a separate company role and applicable scope-of-practice requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical records and healthcare documentation for completeness, accuracy, and organization.
Apply nursing knowledge and medical terminology to understand clinical documentation.
Identify relevant clinical information within medical records and supporting documents.
Assist with healthcare records retrieval, review, indexing, and quality-control processes.
Verify that requested documentation has been received and appropriately associated with the correct case or request.
Identify missing, unclear, inconsistent, or potentially incomplete documentation and escalate issues according to established procedures.
Communicate professionally with healthcare facilities, medical offices, providers, clients, and internal departments.
Assist with reviewing clinical documents for quality and adherence to company standards.
Maintain accurate case notes, electronic records, spreadsheets, and workflow information.
Support quality-assurance activities designed to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Assist with healthcare-related research and documentation projects when assigned.
Monitor assigned cases and complete work within established deadlines and service-level expectations.
Provide clinical perspective to operational teams when appropriate.
Participate in case reviews, team meetings, training programs, and process-improvement initiatives.
Help identify recurring documentation or workflow issues and communicate potential improvements to management.
Follow company policies for confidentiality, information security, documentation, and records handling.
Maintain professional communication across email, telephone, messaging platforms, and virtual meetings.
Escalate clinical, compliance, or operational concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Perform additional nursing, records-review, or healthcare operations duties consistent with the position and applicable regulations.

Remote employees are expected to maintain consistent availability during scheduled working hours, participate in virtual meetings and training, respond promptly to communications, and follow company security procedures.
