Sr. NodeJS Developer

Role Overview
We are looking for a proficient Node.js Developer to join our development team. You will leverage
your backend expertise to build scalable, real-time, high-performance applications and distributed
systems for our products.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain server-side applications and APIs using Node.js.
• Develop real-time features using WebSockets and event-driven architectures.
• Integrate databases, caching systems, and third-party services.
• Optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement business logic, data storage, and server-side processing.
• Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

Must-have Technical Skills
• Strong proficiency in Node.js with good coding practices (modular design, asynchronous
programming, error handling, design patterns).
• Hands-on experience with NestJS and Express.js frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth,
RBAC).
• Strong understanding of WebSockets, real-time communication, event-driven systems, and
real-time APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL including query optimization, indexing, transactions, schema
design, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching, Pub/Sub, session management, and rate limiting.
• Experience with BullMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar queueing technologies.
• Experience building scalable and high-performance backend systems.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Unit and integration testing using Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
• Git version control and code review practices.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Security best practices for backend systems including input validation, encryption, authentication,
and authorization.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice-to-have
• GraphQL experience.
• Serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
• Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and containerization.
• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Jira, Trello, and Confluence.
• Experience with OTT, live-streaming, social media, or high-concurrency applications.
